Alerts & Notifications
Monitor sends normal monitoring alerts directly through the Monitor Discord bot account. Webhooks are not required for normal alert delivery.
Bot Offline
Sent once after the monitored bot stays offline beyond the configured grace period.
Bot Back Online
Sent after an outage ends. The recovery embed can show the outage window and downtime duration.
Notification channel
Each server monitoring configuration has one notification channel. Select it during /monitorsetup or change it with /monitorconfig. Use the Discord commands to choose or update alert settings.
What happens with a short disconnect?
Monitor records the offline start, waits through the grace period, and cancels the pending outage notification when the bot recovers before an alert is sent.
Heartbeat is separate
A zombie heartbeat state does not itself trigger public outage alerts. Those notifications remain controlled by Discord presence and the monitoring grace period.
